Hot Mulligan

Northern Michigan rock band Hot Mulligan has announced they will release their long-awaited, debut album, Pilot, on March 23rd with No Sleep Records. Fans can catch them on tour in March/April with Knuckle Puck and Boston Manor. The new single is available for purchase on a very limited number (30!) of flexi records from No Sleep Records at http://store.nosleeprecords.com/catalogs/hot-mulligan. Pilot will be available for pre-order on February 1st.

Hot Mulligan’s forthcoming album, follows the band’s remarkable, 2017 EP, Opportunities, which was well received by critics and fans. The new record — containing their finest tracks — is a timeless and remarkable piece of work and an adaptable composition. Hot Mulligan mends the bridge of musicianship, lyricism, and unforgettable hooks. The driving guitar riffs, sweet-sounding synth and distinctive display of percussion ensure the records prominence amongst other 2018 releases.

Hot Mulligan will be touring non-stop and with determination in 2018—supporting acts such as Knuckle Puck, Boston Manor, Free Throw, and many more.

Your debut album "Pilot" comes out tomorrow via No Sleep Records, how are you guys feeling about the release? How do you think fans are going to react?

We’re feeling pretty good! I think our fans will like it. It’s similar to our past work but brings some new elements to the table. I think it’s our strongest release in full.

You're mid-tour with Knuckle Puck, Boston Manor, Free Throw, and Jetty Bones - how has this experience been for you?

It’s been incredible. All of the bands are great every night , and everyone is really kind. It was a little intimidating at first, but that quickly went away.

There's a sleight shift in your sound between "Opportunities" and "Pilot," how was the process different for these two works?

We had a lot more time preparing for Opportunities. Pilot came out a lot faster, and we learned a lot from the writing and recording process from Opportunities. It was a lot easier to make the songs we wanted this time around.

What is your goal with "Pilot"?

I just hope it exposes us to some new people. Honestly, we’re just stoked to play some new songs. If those go over well in a live setting, then we’re all happy.

If you could create your dream tour to perform on, who'd be on the line up?

That’s pretty tough. We’re all into different artists and genres, but I think we’d all be stoked to go out with Taking Back Sunday or The Wonder Years.

What's next for Hot Mulligan?

We’re just going to tour a bunch. More shows! BLED Fest is coming up in May, and we’re excited for that.
