Milo
Milo is a very talented singer and songwriter from the west coast in sunny California. He's incredibly charismatic as made clear by his energy on stage and holds a passion for his music that is admirable. We got in touch with Milo and asked him some questions to get to know him better. Given that there isn't much information out there about Milo, we took the opportunity to learn a bit about him and his beginnings as an artist.
How did you get your start in music?
I started in a garage with a bunch of my friends. We would just mess around but then it started to get more and more serious. That's where I really learned what it takes and how difficult it was to make quality sounding music.
Which instruments do you play?
My main instrument is the guitar, but I've played bass, drums, and a
little bit of piano/keyboard when I have to.
Does your family support your music? How?
My family has always been behind everything I've ever done musically.
They have also been an anchor to me in helping me understand my
priorities when it comes to balancing music, school, and different things
like that.
What kind of venues/events do you play?
I've played at all different kinds of places from small, little coffee shops
to the bigticket, House of Blues type venues. Really, I'll play wherever I
can. Playing live ismy favorite part of being a musician.
Who is your idol? Have you ever met them? If so, what was that like?
I'm not really sure that one individual stands out to me as my idol. I know it takes
a lot of work to be successful in this business so I respect anyone who has been
able to make it happen.
What's the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you during a performance?
This is great. We were having a high kicking contest durning a show, just for fun, but I kicked so high that I completely ate it! I'm sure there's a video of it out there somewhere.
How do you balance your music with your other obligations/responsibilities?
I've been fortunate enough to have it pretty easy when it comes to balancing out my music and my responsibilities. I finished college and was able to get a good job and save enough to support me while I make a run at doing music.
What artist would you hope to tour with someday?
I would LOVE to tour with Demi Lovato someday. Her or Tori Kelly. They would be so much fun to open for every night and I think our sounds could compliment each other well.
Do you get nervous before a performance? If so, how do you overcome it. If not, how does being on stage make you feel?
I don't think I get nervous so much any more. Instead I think I get more excited to get out there and go! Being on stage is where I feel like I can do anything and it's gonna be ok. The crowd is already there to support you so there's really not much I can do to mess that up
Have you ever thought about creating a band?
I was actually in a boyband believe it or not about two years ago. It was an AWESOME experience and I was about to work with some very talented guys and meet some really cool people!
