“This album was a long time coming,” says vocalist Peter Danzig. “We recorded the whole thing in a marathon week, though we spent almost a year demoing 25 songs that we whittled down to the 10 that made it. We did several 12-hour days in a row at the studio, and at the end of each day we still didn't want to go home. "Above Snakes" is a loud record that should be played loud, but it also has a few welcome mellow moments. When we first heard mixes of the record, we were so excited, because it was probably the first time we heard our songs the way we imagined them.”
The band’s hard work and knack for writing memorable music can be witnessed on thier boot-stomping first single “Obsession” which the band recently debuted with GuitarPlayer.com: http://bit.ly/28Ub8su
